Celebrating a Season of Impact and Giving

As 2024 comes to a close, we can’t help but reflect on the incredible moments, partnerships, and successes that have defined this last month for The For Nina Foundation. From uplifting community events to impactful fundraising milestones, each experience has brought us closer to our mission of supporting children and young adults facing serious illnesses.

We’re proud to share highlights from our recent events—Giving Tuesday, the LOUD Fashion Show, the Sports 4 The Kids Charity Golf Tournament, and our latest Kendra Scott Give Back events—all of which showcase the power of community, connection, and compassion. All of these events, and many others we've hosted since we started our wig program in May, have allowed us to give 22 kids custom wigs in 2024. Thank you for helping us make this first year such a success!

Giving Tuesday Success

Giving Tuesday was a remarkable success for The For Nina Foundation, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised over $4,000 in a single day! These funds will provide four young patients with beautiful, high-quality wigs, along with hair care and accessories baskets to help them feel comfortable and confident.

The impact of these gifts is life-changing. Families often share with us that when their child receives a wig, they begin to feel like themselves again—a small but powerful step toward restoring normalcy during an incredibly difficult time.
This Giving Tuesday, we were reminded of the collective power of generosity and community. Every donation brings us closer to our mission of improving the quality of life for children and young adults facing serious illnesses. Thank you for being part of this success and helping us make a tangible difference!

Love of Urban Design (LOUD) Fashion Event, Miami, FL

Earlier this month, we had the incredible opportunity to join our wig designer, Katia, at the LOUD (Love of Urban Design) Fashion Event in Miami. Katia worked tirelessly on her stunning collection for the evening, and we were so honored to be invited to join her.

In a wonderful and unexpected surprise, Katia invited Erica Karlinsky, CEO of The For Nina Foundation, on stage to share our mission with the audience. This opportunity to speak alongside Katia and meet Commissioner Oliver G. Gilbert III of Miami Gardens made the evening even more memorable.

To our amazement, Commissioner Gilbert graciously announced a $5,000 sponsorship towards our wig program—a gift that will directly help us continue providing high-quality, comfortable wigs to young cancer fighters at no cost to their families.

Sports 4 The Kids Charity Golf Tournament

Just days after the LOUD Fashion Show, we had the honor of sponsoring the 11th Annual Sports 4 The Kids Charity Golf Tournament, supporting underserved children in Central Florida with access to sports programs. This event holds a special place in our hearts, as Nina Karlinsky herself volunteered at many Sports 4 The Kids events, sharing her love for kids, sports, and community.

The For Nina Foundation proudly sponsored the 16th hole, where Erica Karlinsky, CEO, shared Nina’s story with all 27 teams. The day was filled with connection and inspiration, culminating in the presentation of the Nina Karlinsky Soccer Scholarships to two young boys, empowering them to pursue their passion for soccer—Nina’s favorite sport and lifelong love.

Nina’s legacy of determination and excellence lives on through these scholarships, reminding us of her lasting impact on and off the field.

A Huge Success: Kendra Scott Give Back Events Recap

On December 14th, we partnered once again with the incredible Kendra Scott Foundation for a series of Kendra Gives Back events across multiple East Coast stores, including Miami, Tampa, Gainesville, Winter Park, Mall of Millenia, and Atlanta. Thanks to this wonderful program and the overwhelming support from our community, we raised over $5,000 in just one day for the For Nina Foundation!

Each store turned the day into a true celebration, with vibrant parties, smiling faces, and a shared commitment to giving back. These events not only showcased the power of community but also highlighted how meaningful partnerships like this one can truly make a difference.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us, shopped, and celebrated alongside us. Your participation directly supports our Wigs for Comfort and Confidence program, providing high-quality, comfortable wigs to young cancer fighters at no cost to their families.

A Year of Impact and Gratitude

At The For Nina Foundation, we are doing so much to honor Nina’s memory and fulfill our mission. While the journey can be challenging at times, every moment is worth it—because every wig we provide, every scholarship we award, and every event we host helps children and young adults facing serious illnesses feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Our mission remains clear: to improve the quality of life for children and young adults suffering from serious illness by offering support services, raising awareness, and providing research funding.

With your support, we get closer every day to achieving our vision: For every child and young adult suffering with a serious illness to feel happy, healthy, and hopeful.

As we wrap up 2024 with a bang, we want to say thank you. None of this would be possible without your generosity, dedication, and belief in our cause. ‘Tis the season for giving, and together, we can continue to make a difference.

Help us bring comfort and confidence to those in need. Donate to the For Nina Foundation today.
